While the first Shrek movie was an instant classic, many found the second and third instalments disappointing. With his fourth and final outing, however, the green ogre is back on form and the series ends on a high note.

Shrek finds himself in a midlife crisis, tired of being a domesticated family man.

Rumpelstiltskin offers to let him live like a real ogre for a day, in exchange for a day from his childhood being erased. But things don’t work out as planned . . .

Fiona doesn’t seem to know who he is and doesn’t like him, he doesn’t have kids, Donkey is weird and Puss in Boots is fat. Nothing is as it should be. How will Shrek make his world right again?Even though there are fewer fairytale references, kids will love it and parents won’t be bored.

Bonus: commentary, featurettes, deleted scenes.
