As expected, a storm has erupted over former President Nelson Mandela’s personal assistant Zelda la Grange’s decision to publish a tell-all book about the ugliness within the Mandela family that followed his passing.

“She’s betraying him and his family”; “ These are private family matters” we heard . . .

Even before Tata closed his eyes forever, she says, the Mandela children were already at odds with anyone they regarded as an outsider, and sometimes even with their stepmother, Madiba’s widow, Mama Graça and her children.
