On Thursday, the EFF called out for an investigation on Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba’s cheating scandal and the misuse of the state funds.

EFF spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi said in a statement: “We do not care much about the Minister’s affairs and infidelity because he is renowned for using government’s credit card and money to buy flowers for girlfriends, breaking people’s families and engaging in unacceptable extra-marital practices.”

He continued to say that the EFF’s concern is that the Minister uses State resources for his personal affairs and has been reported of transferring money over of R700 000 for personal use.

“If the reports about his infidelity and money transfers are true, it means that Malusi is involved in money laundering and even involves State Security officials to facilitate what is patently illegal money movements,” Ndlozi continued.

According to Ndlozi the party will request further investigations from State Security department and SARS. “We will not keep quiet when philandering Ministers abuse their positions. We will also call for an investigation into allegations of offshore accounts the minister holds,” he said.
