A swan in Egypt was detained after it was suspected of being a spy.

The bird was taken to a police station in the Qena region of the country - 280 miles south east of capital city Cairo - and examined after a man spotted the animal wearing a suspicious electronic device.

But following the investigation, Mohammed Kamal, Qena's head of security, revealed there was no need to worry because the gadget on the bird was in fact a wildlife tracker.

Egypt is currently in a state of unrest.
