The trial of two people accused of killing right-wing leader Eugene Terre'Blanche was postponed by the High Court sitting in Ventersdorp on Thursday morning.

The trial was stood down until Friday because Chris Mahlangu's lawyer Kgomotso Tlouane was ill.

Mahlangu and a minor, who may not be named, are charged with beating Terre'Blanche to death in his farm house outside Ventersdorp in North West in April 2010.

Both have pleaded not guilty to murder, housebreaking, and robbery with aggravating circumstances. Mahlangu claims he acted in self-defence. The teenager has denied involvement in the crime.

The minor's lawyer, Zola Majavu, said his client would turn 18 on April 22.
