Former Manning Rangers striker, Keryn Jordan, has passed away after a 12-year battle with cancer. Auckland City coach Ramon Tribulietx described Jordan's contribution to New Zealand and Oceania football in glowing terms.

"Keryn will be remembered as one of the greatest Auckland City FC players of all time.

"He has left an indelible mark on our club, on the game of football in not only New Zealand, but throughout Oceania, and from the team at Auckland City FC we wish him all the best in his new life back home," Tribulietx said.

Jordan makes his final farewell at Kiwitea Street on Sunday when Auckland City host Otago United in Round 9 of the ASB Premiership.

The 37-year-old Jordan retired from playing three seasons ago after succumbing to a knee injury and ongoing cancer treatment.

Capped twice by South Africa's Bafana Bafana, Jordan along with friends and family has set up the "Liam Jordan Support Fund" for his son, who is fast developing into a top quality footballer in his own right.
