Not many people have had a chance to meet Mama Albertina Sisulu but her heroism has definitely affected us all. DRUM’s veteran journalist Kaizer Ngwenya shares his first hand experience and fond memories of this great woman. He goes into detail and paints a picture of how she nursed people during the 1976 uprising, arranging hideouts for them as well as opening her doors to young journalists like him as she believed in spreading the word about the struggle. “You are all my children. And this is your home,” Ngwenya fondly remembers those words when she would invite him for a cup of tea.
