Designers Quiteria Kekana and George Malelu first met at Mpumalanga Fashion Week in 2013 where they were both showcasing their individual brands.

From stitching seams at the back of Quiteria’s parents home in Soweto to dressing the likes of Terry Phetho, Siphokazi January, Jessica Nkosi, Nandi Mngoma, Boity Thulo, Nomuzi Mabena just to name a few, the duo say the journey has not been easy.

“We seem to be getting a lot of hate from the critics, nothing positive is ever written about us, we have not received a single good review from fellow designers either,” says Kekana.

Having only been in existence for less than 2 years and their garments having been adorned by the best on almost every red carpet one would expect them to be rolling in cash, “I will not lie and say we are making money, we are not, we are talented, skilled and we know our time will come when the money will just flow in, at the moment we are just getting by” Kekana added.

The two say they are also still working on being a household name and a reputable brand more than just making sales.
