Monday to Thursday mid-mornings will never be the same again as SABC 1 live talk show Shift takes a final bow.

After 12 years of shifting mindsets and changing attitudes among young people, the contract between LCAT Television Productions and SABC has ended and won’t be renewed.

DRUM broke the news first last year and it is now confirmed.

Aaron Moloisi, one of the presenters confirmed that the educational show will be live for the last time tomorrow.

The talented and multi-lingual presenter has graced our screens for eight years and is sad that the show won’t get the chance to change more people’s lives.

“I was there for eight years but I’m happy with the fact that I got the opportunity to be part of it. I just feel sad that whoever who would’ve liked to get the opportunity to present the show, will not be getting their chance,” says Moloisi adding that there are viewers who have succeeded in their professional and personal lives through the show.

The show played every Monday to Thursday at 11am to 12 pm and was co-hosted by the vibrant Kamohelo Bombe, who couldn’t be reached for comment.

Moloisi has other entities and is currently running his own media company Moloisi Media House.

The youthful show tackled relevant topics such politics, entertainment, entrepreneurship, and made sure viewers were engaged through social media platforms and live calls.

It is not yet know which programme will replace Shift. SABC spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago could not be reached for comment.
