Just two more sleeps until this year's DStv Delicious Festival.

As part of gearing up for the weekend's big event DRUM has spoken to another one of the event’s headline acts, Soul II Soul.

The Back to Life artists  are among three headline acts set to perform at Emmarentia Dam on Saturday May 31 2014 as part of the decadent food festival.

What are you most looking forward to about this year’s Delicious Festival? 

Food!

The festival celebrates the marriage of good food and good music.  What are some of your favourite foods?

I don’t actually know?!

All of them, in particular instrumentals

Have you ever been surprised by your fans’ reception to any of your songs?

No

Will this be your first time in South Africa?

No, I visited and performed in the early 90’s

Does Back to Life’s popularity, after all these years, surprise you? 

No, it’s taken from Club Classic Vol.1 ;-)

You’re known as the original Funki Dreds. How has your style transformed over the past 25 years of your being in the industry?

Turning grey ;-)

What can we expect from you in the future, another 25 years of great sounds?

A happy face, a thumping bass, for a loving race!

Have you discovered any South African cuisine that you loved or loathed? 

Not yet, looking forward to coming over and trying some local cuisine.
