TV personality and former presenter of popular magazine show Ses’Khona,  Hlengiwe Nkosi chats about making it to the top two of Mzansi's Celebrity Boot camp. The show's finale is on 5 April 2015.

How are you?

I’m good thanks.

Let’s talk about Bootcamp Mzansi...

You are in the top two, how are you feeling?

I never thought I’d make it this far, being part of the top two is the biggest achievement for me. It’s been an enlightening journey ... I’m proud of myself.

Why did you enter the competition?

Yho, it’s actually something I never thought I’d ever do in my life... I watched the show before when Kabelo was the trainer and I was like I can never handle this pressure. But I decided to challenge myself because I know I’m lazy and eat a lot of unhealthy food so I really needed the push and also to inspire other people which I know I am.

Looking back and now, how has your journey been?

My journey has been difficult because I know myself I’m not an active person even in high school I never did anything that involved running and sweating, that’s why I chose arts. This competition has made realise that I am stronger physically and mentally. And that if you set your mind to something you can actually achieve.

Let’s talk about your trainer Nonhle Ndala her behaviour, did you want to pack your bags and go?

(Laughs) I couldn’t stand her for the first few weeks because she was always on my case but I realised that I’m not doing this for her, I’m doing this for myself. I know what I exactly want out of this competition and that’s where my focus went to. I decided to ignore her and just switch off in my own world.

What did you learn from this competition?

That I was undermining myself but I realised that I’m very resilient and that I can do anything if I tell myself that I can.
