Football fans have been advised to travel by donkey at the World Cup in Brazil.

Men working on the metro train system in Sao Paulo, Brazil have been illegally striking since last week, and as there are only days left until the first match in the competition, fans have been warned they may need to find alternative modes of transport.

Brazil's former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said those going to the game may need to get there "barefoot, by bike or by donkey", according to the Daily Star newspaper.
