“I will be leaving with MAC Cosmetics for a week to Berlin for a global trends presentation..."

Gugulethu-born make-up artist Vuyo Varoy was said to have been fired by Revlon Cosmetics a few months ago. The critics said he was relieved from his duties as brand ambassador when he and Bonang Matheba stopped seeing eye-to-eye.

Vuyo confirmed that the rumors were untrue, “I left Revlon so I can be an independent make-up artist and be able to work with any brand and that is why I am currently freelancing and working with MAC cosmetics on as an independent artist,” he said.

Vuyo emphasized that he needed a change. He had served his time and it was now time to move onto other things and expand his brand further: “I will be leaving with MAC Cosmetics for a week to Berlin for a global trends presentation, this is a great opportunity for me as I get to learn and grow,” he added.

MAC will be gathering make-up artists from all seven continents to discuss all things beauty.
