Generations actress was arrested after allegedly stealing a R17.90 packet of Panado tablets.

Pic: TNA The shoplifting case against former Generations actress Maggie Benedict has been postponed to 28 January after she appeared briefly in the Randburg Magistrates’ court on Thursday, City Press reported. Benedict, who played Akhona in the SABC1 soapie, was released on a warning on Wednesday night after spending a few hours in the Linden Police Station’s holding cells. She was arrested after allegedly stealing a R17.90 packet of Panado tablets at Checkers in Joburg’s Cresta mall on Wednesday. Numerous attempts by the DRUM team to getcomment from Generations yielded no results as phones went unanswered. The executive producer of SA’s number soapie answered our call but told us he’s on holiday and “don’t take calls”.
