The car that was hijacked in Johannesburg was found parked in a Kaizer Chiefs player's home.

The player will appear in court tomorrow

eNCA reports that Kaizer Chiefs Football Club confirmed that the Toyota Rav 4, has been found in a parking bay belonging to one of its first team players.

Spokesman Vina Maphosa told eNCA.com, that the club would not identify the player until police confirmed his identity. He also said officials had cleared the player of any wrongdoing.

“The player stays in a complex. To be clear, it (the vehicle) was not found in his driveway as earlier reports suggested. It was found in his allotted parking bay.”

Earlier this month, an Ethiopian family was hijacked at a traffic light by four men, armed with AK-47s.
