How does she do it?

One thing is sure when you have three kids under the age of six: life isn’t quiet! Add to that her job on a soapie and a traditional healing practice, and you can bet this mom has hardly a second to herself.

But watching Letoya Mangezi with her three little ones, it’s clear she takes it all in her stride. “Play nicely for Mommy,” she says firmly but calmly as five-year-old Nubia and four-year-old Tadiwa charge around the playground of the Randburg restaurant where we meet up with her.

She’s been awake since 5 am, she tells us as she bounces her youngest, seven-month-old Tamuda, on her lap. She had an early call on the set of Isidingo – where she plays the beautiful but troubled Ayanda Diale – and went straight from work to fetch her brood from crèche.

“Most days are like this for me, but I’m not complaining,” the 26-year-old actress says. “Acting is one of my passions, and so is spending time with the kids.”
