Shopping malls will soon be filled with Christmas decor and we'll wonder why we left the shopping to the very last minute.

Holiday season is just about upon us.

In a few days' time it'll be October and before we know it, shopping malls will be filled with Christmas decor and we'll wonder why we left the shopping to the very last minute.

These tips will ensure that you don't find yourself in that situation and, hopefully, are even better prepared for next year's holiday season.

Make a List

Write down everyone you plan to buy a gift for, no matter how small the gift may be.

Include ideas of what to give each person, along with the maximum amount you’re willing to spend.

Don’t forget to add the holiday bonuses you’ll be giving to the nanny, the helper and anyone else whose income you contribute to.

Start Early

Keep your eyes open all year for items friends and family would like. Keep an eye out for specials too.

Once December comes, you’ll be glad that you already have some people crossed off your list.

Make sure to keep all your advance gifts in a designated place so you don’t forget a purchase you made months in advance.

Do Online Research

If you’re unsure of which specific item to buy, search for reputable online reviews. Doing this well in advance will definitely count in your favour once the end-of-year rush hits.
