Style icon Minnie Dlamini opens up about her childhood, the dark side of fame and loving soccer star Itumeleng Khune.

SHE’S as gorgeous in real life as she is on the small screen.

Dressed in a colourful, high-waisted skirt, a white vest and killer heels she’s every inch the style icon she’s known to be.

In fact, actress and presenter Minnie Dlamini is celebrating a fashion victory right now after being named the winner of the Most Stylish Performing Artist in Film or TV at the annual South African Style Awards.

She’s up for a style award from sport lifestyle website gsport too, and was named one of the top 12 sexiest South Africans in a newspaper competition voted for by readers.

She also won the Next Generation Award for Coolest Female TV star in May and the Glamour Women of the Year, Reader’s Choice Award.

“It’s been a good year. I’ve planned exactly where I want to be and I’ve managed to achieve all of my goals,” she says at the swanky Hyde Park Hotel in Sandton, Joburg, where we’ve met to chat.
