The terrible part about being a judge is that you are deciding on people's dreams- Unathi

Ever wondered what it really feels like to be an Idols judges? Idols SA judge and Metro FM DJ Unathi Msengena revealed recently that the best way to describe it is that its, 'a double-edged sword'.

Speaking about the show on Pearl Modiadie's show Zaziwa Unathi said the experience can be both exciting and sad.

"The terrible part about being a judge is that you are deciding on people's dreams, someone will grow up with all these hopes and dreams and the next thing you are telling them; 'This is not for you'. But its beautiful at the same time because so many success stories have come from there, so many dreams are given light from that show," Unathi explains.

Unathi who has been an Idols SA judge since 2011 says she is still excited to be part of the show.

"Its a double-edged sword, but its a privilege and an honour to be part of the show" she adds.
