Rapper Kwesta is not an actor . . . yet. Late last week rumours were doing the rounds that Kwesta (real name Senzo Mfundo Vilakazi) has decided to become an actor.

Speaking to DRUM the rapper refuted the rumours saying, “I’m not acting I was just featured on a series called  MTV Shuga: Down South as myself.”

The star said he is only focusing on music and he might perhaps consider acting in the future. “I’m not thinking about acting, maybe at the later stage I might, but not now.”

The East Rand-born MC is one of the celebrities featured on the new series. Kwesta will feature alongside Afro-pop diva Seyi Shay, as themselves. MTV Shuga hits our screens across Africa on MTV Base (DStv Channel 322), BET (DStv channel 129), BET International on 8 March. The series will also air on other broadcasters and third party broadcasters around the world, including SABC in South Africa on the same day.

Kwesta, aka Da King of Afrikan Rap, says he is currently working on the music video of the single that came out early this month called “Ngiyaz’fela ngawe” featuring artists like Makwa, Kid X and TLT.
