Inter Milan were handed a fine and ordered to close part of their stadium.

Inter Milan were handed a fine and ordered to close part of their stadium for two games following offensive chants about fans about Naples during last weekend's game, the Lega Serie A said Tuesday.

A sports judge said that about 8,000 Inter fans in two occasions chanted offensive slogans during Saturday's game against Napoli, a match which was drawn 0-0.

The club was fined 50,000 euros (69,300 dollars).

Part of the north stand at the Giuseppe Meazza is to be closed in the last home game of the season, which Inter play against Lazio on May 10.

It will also be closed in the first home match of next season as a result of a suspended punishment Inter were handed in March over similar chants in a city derby played in December against AC Milan.
