It seems as if Bafana Bafana captain and former Kaizer Chiefs goalie, Itumeleng Khune wants to make a return to the club after his dramatic exit.

An article published by Daily Sun reports that Khune is willing to return to the South African football champions' base camp in Naturena so he can "clear the air".

The publication's source reveals that Khune has been training on his own and wants to meet with Chiefs' management before he can consider deals that have brought to his table by local and international clubs.

"Itu and his UK based agent, Dan Lichman have formally put in a meeting request with Bobby [Motaung] to set up a date and hope that it could be done as soon as possible. Only after this can there be a green light to consider other options," the source was quoted as saying by the site.

It also seems that there may be confusion about what really caused the skipper's departure.

When contacted by the site, Bobby Motaung would not comment on the issue.

It seems all we can do is wait and see.
