The former Muvhango actress will be playing a character of Busi Duma who is a broker. It is said that Busi will come in as a broker in the sale of Kings Casino. Her character will cause tensions between Paul (played by Justin Strydom) and David (played by Antony Coleman).

According to the executive producer of High Rollers, Luke Rous, the character of Busi is fierce, fearless and knows exactly what she wants. “Jo-anne is a talented actor with a strong background in television and we’re happy to welcome her to the High Rollers family.”

Digging in to her character, Jo-anne sees no similarities to her personality and that of her character. “Busi wears these amazing dresses – she always looks good, and she knows how to use that in both her work and personal lives,” she explains. Busi’s make-up is always on point but off-camera Jo-anne is a jeans and a t-shirt kind of lady.

It is said that Busi will become a major player in the show as things progresses. “Once she decides what she wants, she goes out and gets it – and she sets her sights on one man in particular, with fascinating consequences.”

Jo-anne who has two kids with former Generations actor, Thami Mngqolo has been featured on several shows including Muvhango and Intersexions.
