''That's never happened to me in an interview before,” Kanye said.

Rapper and husband to Kim Kardashian, Kanye West broke down in tears during a radio interview.

Speaking to Zane Lowe of BBC radio, Kanye remembered his late friend and fashion professor Louise Wilson.

He recalled the advice Louise gave him on raising his 20-month-old daughter North:  ''She just looked at me and said: 'Kanye, don't clap.'

''That's never happened to me in an interview before,” Kanye said as he regained composure.

Professor Wilson passed away in her sleep on May 16, 2014, while visiting her sister in Scotland.

She was 52 years-old.
