The foyer of the Lollipop Lounge strip club in randburg is filled with photographs of partially clothed and nude women in provocative poses and Kenny “Mr Sushi” Kunene devours this eye candy with the enthusiasm of a kid in a sweet shop.

“I love this place!” says Kenny, who sprang to notoriety for eating morsels of raw fish off semi-nude models at the openings of his ZAR clubs in Cape Town and Sandton.

“I adore sexy women – especially the fresher ones,” the joint head of the ZAR empire, reality TV star and latterly record label owner says with a mischievous smile. “I’ve tried older women but they’re not the same.”

He clowns around on the dancing pole for a while before getting down to business. this is a photo shoot, after all, and the former teacher, gangster, father of three and all-round rebel without a pause needs to look his best.

The 41-year-old businessman hastily flicks through some of the outfits chosen for him from some of the most expensive boutiques in Sandton City.

“I can do this suit but not this one,” he says firmly. “I’ll take a chance with this one but anyone who knows me will know that’s not me. Kenny Kunene doesn’t do this kind of shine. I have a unique style,” he adds, pulling out some of his own suits and designer shoes he’s brought with him.

“I love good quality in everything – food, beverages, clothes, cars and women.”
