Killing him softly . . .

Malini’s TOFFO GOGE was outraged when she found out hubby Lucky Shabangu was sleeping with fellow singer Simphiwe Dana.

Now she’s using her music to tell Mzansi about his and Simphiwe’s cheating ways. Toffo’s manager, Lale Ngcobo, says, “The song is called Balele (They slept together) and it has a strong cheating awareness message for couples. “Toffo and her group, Malini, decided to write a song about what happened.

It’s true it’s based on Toffo’s marriage and what happened but the song actually deals with two cheating spouses who find out and come clean to each other about their affairs.” Lale insists this doesn’t mean Toffo was cheating on lucky – it’s just artistic licence to make the song more interesting. According to Lale the pair plans to work on their marital problems and have no intention of divorcing.

Toffo is apparently considering a move to Jozi to be closer to her straying husband but there are complications because her record label is based in Durban. The song should be quite an earful. Judge for yourself – its release date is 1 May. Simphiwe Dana declined to comment about the song in question.
