“The feature with Tyga is only a drop in the ocean compared to some of the things that I wish to achieve."

KwaZulu-Natal rapper and producer, Sandile Nhlakanipho Kubheka also known as Duboiz moved from producing music in his bedroom to signing a deal with Mabala Noise, to featuring American rapper Tyga on his hit single Dope Dream.

“The feature with Tyga is only a drop in the ocean compared to some of the things that I wish to achieve,” says Duboiz.

After the death of his mother when he was in Grade 5, Duboiz always maintained that one day he would make it as a musician.

“I was raised by my grandparents in a house full of cousins in Newcastle and I’ve always known that one day I would make it,” says Duboiz.

Although he feels he has a long way to go, he knows his grandparents are proud of him.
