The water is packaged in plastic water bottles branded with his logo and image.

KwaZulu-Natal Health MEC Dr. Sibongiseni Dhlomo has described claims by a Durban based faith healer as “irresponsible and deliberately misleading people.”

Bishop HQ Nala, of the Rebirth Family Centre in Umbilo claims he can cure HIV and Aids with his “Holy” water.

It is sold at his church in Umbilo for R15 for a small bottle and R30 for the big one.

Nala says God is using him to cure Aids. The water is said to change a positive HIV test result to a negative result.

Nala also claims to have a  long list of people who have now been cured of Aids through prayer and the use of his “Holy” water. “Some have even stopped taking their antiretroviral (ARV) treatment because they say that they have been ‘cured’ of Aids,” he claims. But Dhlomo is spitting fire. “That’s a very irresponsible statement to make. We are warning our people to continue with their ARVs and stop listening to irresponsible and irrational statements by this person. Continue taking your treatment and you be in control of the HIV in your body,” said Dhlomo.
