Lets talk weaves

When it comes to weaves hair expert, Isaac Letele, knows what he’s talking about.

Don’ts when it comes to hair extensions?

  • Don’t . . . Use oil-rich products on the extensions, for example oil moisturiser, oil sheen, etc, so your scalp does not become greasy.
  • Don’t . . . Choose the trendiest colour without considering what works with your skin tone.
  • Don’t . . . Overbleach. Extensions have already been chemically stressed and some brands can be lifted, but not more than to colour No 7/8 (light blonde). Overbleaching causes extensions to become dull and dry and lose their underlying colour pigment. A safer way to colour hair extensions is with semi-permanent colour as it enhances shine and the shade.
