"Although Gugu lost his life, going back will give Letshego closure."

In an interview with Anele Mdoda on Real Talk, widow Letshego Zulu spoke bout the tragic loss of her husband and South African race car driver, Gugu Zulu.

She recalled the day of his passing while trying to summit Mount Kilimanjaro. Letshego went down memory lane and shared some happy memories.

Social media had a lot to say about Letshego coming forth to speak so soon after the passing of Gugu Zulu and some were unhappy about her dress code on the show. Letshego was dressed in a long black dress, thick black stockings and a modest yellow jacket. Although customs vary when it comes to mourning, some felt the dress code was unbecoming of a widow.

Letshego has received a lot of support from family, friends and fans.

A close friend to Letshego and the late Gugu Zulu, as well as one of the participants in the Trek4Mandela hike up Kilimanjaro, Gerry Rantseli Elsen confirmed at a Marsh Africa women’s event that Letshego will be going up Mount Kilimanjaro to finish what she and her husband started.

Gerry said, although Gugu lost his life, going back will give Letshego closure.
