I have learnt that family is everything- Letshego

In July 2016, biokineticist and adventure enthusiast Letshego Zulu lost her husband racing- driver Gugu Zulu on Mount Kilimanjaro. Gugu's untimely death made Letshego not only a widow but she instantly became a single parent to the couple's only child Lelethu.

Letshego says the challenge of adjusting to being a single mom hasn't been easy. “I want her to live life to the full,” she tells DRUM SUPERMOM magazine. “That’s what her dad did, and it is something I try to do on a daily basis, too.” As it turns out, the little girl already has many of her father’s traits. “She is an adventurer, just like Gugs,” Letshego says, laughing with delight.

Letshego says even though the journey has been hard, she is bent on finding a way to make it work.

“With my loss, I have learnt that family is everything. I know that no one knows what tomorrow holds," Letshego says.
