“I’m a car fanatic, I always have been. When I found myself unemployed I made a plan and opened my car business.”

He is known for his role Gundo Mukwevho on Muvhango and his most recent job was the character of Vuyo on Generations: The Legacy.

After his contract ended with Muvhango and Generations, award-winning hunk Nkululeko “Nkuli” Tshirumbula did not just sit around and hope for the best, he took the initiative and opened his own car business.

“I’m a car fanatic, I always have been. When I found myself unemployed I made a plan and opened my car business,” Nkuli says.

After learning the mechanic skills from his uncles while growing up, he fell in love with the motor industry.

“I used to watch my uncles do mechanic work and I fell in love with it. Currently I buy cars, strip the parts and sell them. I also customise vehicles and turn regular cars into machines,” Nkuli says.

Nkuli says he realised acting and modeling is a risk and at most times people sit and wait for that big roles that never come.

“I love acting, but after my contract ended on Generations, I needed to put my creativity to good use. If I didn’t open my business I probably would have been depressed,” Nkuli says. Amongst his love for cars, Nkuli has landed himself a DJing job at UJ FM every Fridays from 5 pm until 6 pm. “I have always been passionate about music, I play the drums, and this DJing gig will show people another side of me that people did not know,” Nkuli adds.
