US rapper Lil Wayne has filed legal documents to terminate his contract with Birdman and Cash Money Records

, reports TMZ.com.

The site reports that according to new legal documents, Lil Wayne claims Birdman violated his contract after not  paying him the millions he was owed for his  Tha Cater V album.

And since Birdman won’t pay up, Lil Wayne says he wants out of the record company and will take his artists,  Nicki Minaj and Drake with him. The rapper is also suing his former mentor for $51-million.

TMZ reports:  Sources connected to Wayne tell TMZ ... if Birdman antes up then he can release "Tha Carter V," but only if Wayne gets paid. Wayne says he was supposed to get an $8 million advance when he began recording in December, 2013 and another 2M when he completed the album a year later, but so far he's gotten nothing.
