Lira gets Academy Awards mention

Academy Awards for 2017 made announcement on Tuesday night and Mzansi singer Lira has made the cut as a contributor for the composer who is one of the nominees on a Disney movie

Academy Awards for 2017 made announcement on Tuesday night and Mzansi singer Lira has made the cut as a contributor  for the composer who is one of the nominees on a Disney movie The 89th Academy awards ceremony will take place on 26 February for 2016 films in California and Lerato “Lira” Molapo helped composer and lyricist Lin-Manuel Miranda by singing the animated movie Moana with an African version of its song How Far I’ll Go. "We are delighted that Lira has lent her world-class talent and distinctively beautiful voice to How Far I’ll Go”, says Christine Service, Senior Vice President and Country Manager of The Walt Disney Company Africa.
