Lira opens up about the pressures she has faced

As Lira pushes her commitment to being a global star, she admits that it is challenging at times and filled with so many pressures.

Multi-award winning songstress Lira is possibly one of the most successful artists in South Africa, Africa and is also conquering the world stage. As Lira pushes her commitment to being a global star, she admits that it is challenging at times and filled with so many pressures.

Speaking to Destiny Magazine for their July issue, Lira says, "One of my biggest limitations is being a South African artist earning in rands and having to spend euros and dollars to push my career around the world. Its painful in this current climate and sometimes that overwhelms and frustrates me."

Lira is currently riding on the wave of success with her recently released album Born Free. Lira also has a reality show on Fox  TV called Dream Chaser which followed her 12 city tour to the US recently.

Her next big performance is this coming weekend the 25th of June at Newtown's Bassline for the Kaya FM Presents Live at the Bassline series.
