Following his award-winning DVD, ‘My Practical God’, maestro of worship music, Lufuno Dagada is already slaving away on his latest DVD.

Lufuno had a great showing at the 2013 Crown Gospel Music Awards, winning the fiercely contested Best Traditional Gospel award for the album in question.

Whereas “My Practical” God was filmed at the State Theatre in Tshwane, Lufuno has decided to take the recording of the new album, "My New Beginnings," back to his home province in Limpopo.

“I have such a huge support in Venda and I owe the fans there a ‘thank you’ concert,” he says.

“There’s a gap of three years since I recorded anything in Venda. The last recording I did in my home province was 2010. “We’ve prepared 16 songs and I’m producing the project myself. Apart from that I’m featuring Agape City Choir. It’s a choir of about 30 people and they’ve never recorded with anyone. There’s another Gospel cat from the area, Pastor Tshifhiwa Baloyi, who will be featured on one song.”

Recording takes place on Friday, 26 December 2014 at Agape City Church in Vuwani Limpopo.

Tickets available at computicket from R100 and R250 for VIP.
