Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o is on the hunt for the custom made gown she wore to the Oscars on Sunday

Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o's one-of-a-kind Calvin Klein dress that was made specially for the Oscars on Sunday night has reportedly been stolen.

E! Online reports that a phone call was made to the police on Wednesday night claiming that the Hollywood star's custom made Francisco Costa gown had been stolen out of her room at the London Hotel.

The gown, which Nyong'o collaborated with Costa for months to its completion, was made with over 6 000 perals and is valued at $150 000 (about R1,7 million).

The LAPD are now investigating the matter by looking at surveillance footage as well as interviewing the hotel's staff and witnesses.

In case you missed her look, here's a time lapse of Nyong'o getting ready for the Oscars in her gorgeous gown.
