Mafikizolo to headline Malawi's Lake of Stars Arts Festival

There is not stopping Mafikizolo. After scooping numerous awards at the SAMAs and MTV Africa Music Awards, as well a recent nomination and performance at the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards in California, the duo is now set to headline at this year’s 11th Lake of Stars Arts Festival in Malawi.

“We’re thrilled to have been able to secure one of Africa’s biggest acts right now, Mafikizolo, to headline this year’s festival,” explains festival director, Will Jameson.

The enthusiastic Mafikizolo couldn't be happier about the opportunity to headline this three-day international festival. “This will also be our first time in Malawi and we are excited to be part of a festival of this magnitude that celebrates African music and heritage,” says the pair.

Other South African artists expected to perform include Reason, John Wizards and Christian Tiger School. They will join top African and international artists like Mafilika, Selmor Mtukudzi, Band Tower and Cable Street Collective among others.

The celebration of music and African culture festival will take place at the Sunbird Nkopola Lodge on Lake Malawi from the 26th to 28th of September.
