Maftown heavyweights sadden by the student protest that saw NWU (North West University)’s Staff cafeteria and it’s science center been burnt down.

Some artists who hail from Mafikeng in the North West have been saddened by the student protest that saw NWU (North West University)’s Staff cafeteria and its science center burnt down.

On Wednesday morning the whole of South Africa woke up to horrifying snaps of the NWU Mahikeng campus going up in flames.

HHP is one of many South Africans that took the whole saga really bad with the campus being in his hometown.

The motswako rapper took to Instagram to school his followers on the history of the NWU and how the local community help build it.

Fellow rapper, Fifi Cooper from the same hometown was also badly taken by the whole uprising.

Fifi explained that just a few weeks ago, a high school in the North West province was also a victim of vandalism and now the university.
