Man Crush Monday - Nakhane Touré

Born Nakhane Mavuso, the Eastern Cape author and musician is our man crush this Monday.

Touré is a moniker Nakhane uses to pay homage to the late Malian guitarist Ali Farka Touré .

Though many know him as the mellow vocals on the mega hit, We Dance Again by DJ Black Coffee, Nakhane Touré's not a music industry spring chicken.

His critically acclaimed debut album, Brave Confusion was released in 2013, with a follow up EP titled The Laughing Son released in 2015.

Touré is a four-time SAMA nominee and Best Alternative Album winner in the 2014 edition of the awards. He was also nominated for Best Pop/Alternative at the 2014 MTV Africa Music Awards.

An author, Nakhane has a book under his belt titled Piggy Boy's Blues, a novel about "a twenty something year old guy, Davide, who leaves Johannesburg, to live with his uncle in Alice, a small town in the Eastern Cape, hoping to get some peace of mind. When he does arrive, though, he realises that his uncle is living with another man. There is an obsessive relationship that develops between Davide and this man, which leads to some tragic events," he told Just Curious. We salute you Nakhane. #MCM
