Some of the late Nelson Mandela’s heirs will get their cash payout on Friday when the first instalment of the cash left behind by the former president is paid out.

The first account to be distributed contains R34 million in cash and assets, according to the documents DRUM saw in the office of the Master of the High Court in Johannesburg earlier this month. They had been lying there for 21 days for creditors and other affected parties to inspect them, in line with the requirements of the Administration of Estates Act 66 of 1965 regulating the dissolution of estates.

Estate executors’ lawyer Kelebogile Galeforolwe, from Ledwaba Mazwai Attorneys, said the distribution of Mandela’s cash legacy would take place on Friday.

The payouts will include the following heirs:

1) R3,1million to Ndaba Mandela

2) R3,1 million to Mbuso Mandela

3) R3,1 million to Andile Mandela

4) R100 000 to Dumani Mandela

5) R100 000 to Zoleka Mandela
