Mafikizolo singer Theo Kgosinkwe has a new record label, and Idols contestant Melo is just the rising star he needs to kick it off.

Theo Kgosinkwe looks snazzy as he walks into our studios in matching denim jeans, shirt and All-Star sneakers. With him is his new protégé, Boitumelo Lesejane.

The 23-year-old was an Idols SA top 10 finalist 2013, and when she was the first to leave that elite group in the competition, she thought it was the end of her music career.

But unbeknown to Melo, someone had been watching and was ready to snatch this aspiring singer to join his record company. And that person is none other than the one half of the successful duo Mafikizolo, well-known for his enticing dance moves on stage and now owner of the new music label 360 Degrees Entertainment.

“It was a blessing in disguise when she didn’t win,” Theo laughs, but is quick to explain he wasn’t rooting for her to lose.
