Ndilanavho Mutavhatsindi (23) from Chiawelo in Soweto is the lucky winner of a Suzuki Swift.

More than 30 000 DRUM readers entered our car bonanza! But unfortunately only one could win.  Ndilanavho, an electronics student at CJC College, says when he got the call to say he’d won he thought it was a joke. “But then a lady called Sharon called and asked if I could come

and collect the car keys. I asked her many questions before I said OK. When I put the phone down I spun around the house.”

When Sharon Liebenberg, a manager at Montana GWM dealership in Pretoria North, handed Ndilanavho the keys he couldn’t stop jumping up and down: “I feel extremely happy!

I don’t know how else to express myself but I’m over the moon!”

A loyal DRUM reader, Ndilanavho says when he saw the first issue with the competition he only entered for fun. “But after I got my second copy I started smsing constantly and began believing I could win. I must have sent over 30 text messages.”

Ndilanavho currently owns a 2007 Chevrolet Utility which his older brother gave him so he can get around, especially to classes. “The car has helped me a lot but now that I have this new one I’m going to sell the Chev and use the money to pay off my fees for this year and save the rest to use for my studies next year. This wonderful surprise couldn’t have come at a better time,” he says.

Before driving off in his new car, the excited Ndilanavho told DRUM, “I’m still surprised that I won. I’ve never won anything in my life and the only time that I’m going to believe that I’m not dreaming is when I see the car parked in the yard at home.

Thank you so much!”
