'Today was my last day on Metro FM' - Refiloe Mpakanyane

When it rains it pours, more so now for the SABC and Metro FM in particular. Media personality and Metro news anchor, Refiloe Mpakanyane has followed in Tbo Touch's steps. TMG Entertainment reported that Mpakanyane has resigned. She handed in her resignation on Tuesday after 11 years at the SABC. "I have been at the SABC for 11 years in various roles. I went there straight after varsity and you get to a point where you realise that your own dreams and goals have changed," she said. Taking to Twitter, Mpakanyane thanked all the well wishers.

Grateful for the opportunity given her, Refiloe said there is no bad blood. "It was time. I have absolute respect for the SABC and I am grateful for every opportunity that was given to me. There is no animosity," she told TMG.
