ANN7's I Am South African awards are two days away and Mzansi celebrities are gearing themselves for what promises to a spectacular evening yet.

One of the hosts of this year's awards, television personality and actress Minnie Dlamini chats to us about what the awards mean to her, what she will be wearing and the pressures of being constantly thrust into the limelight.

"I'm really looking forward to seeing how all our plans come together, in terms of the overall production. It's really dramatic, which I love and of course celebrates our top South Africans. I'm excited to see the international acts with our SA talent, let's show how hot SA artists are," she tells us.

She was also nominated last year for a gong. She tells us: "It's incredible being nominated; last year was very humbling. In entertainment we all want to make people happy with the work we produce and to get acknowledged on that is amazing".  The television host adds that the awards "give us a reason to be proud of so many different amazing South Africans in various spheres".

In the wardrobe department, the starlet has entrusted well known celebrity designer, Gert Johan Coetzee with the task of making her look dazzling. "He has already created three gold goddess gowns in highlighting my personal theme for these awards, which is 'SA is Golden' and then I will be wearing my red carpet guru Spero Villiot on the blue carpet, " she gushes.

She says she takes the pressures of entertainment in her stride, because " I look at it as primarily business and a job and they all come with its own pressures, but it's all part of the game".

She concludes by quoting the ever flamboyant Fikile Mbalula and says viewers can expect nothing but "Razzmatazz".

President Jacob Zuma will grace South African of the Year Awards 2015 with his presence. The president will be joined by South Africa's finest talent and personalities nominated in different categories for their inspiring and extraordinary work. The President will also hand over the prestigious South African of the Year Award to the winner.
