Ntando is currently in South Africa and is not in London; in fact she has never been there- Sun International.

Fake news is fast becoming one of the ways that some celebrities and personalities are having their brands and images tainted, like the case of 2016 US Presidential candidate who some believe lost the elections Donald Trump due to some effects of fake news about her.

This week our very own Miss South Africa Ntandoyenkosi Kunene was a victim of such. According to a fake news website  www.te1egraph.co.uk, Ntando had been caught and arrested in London for being in possession of cocaine. Non of this is true. Ntando was not arrested and is not even in London.

“We chose at first to ignore the reports because we believed that people would realise that it was from a fake site. However, in light of the fact that we have had queries from legitimate media outlets we would like to set the record straight. Ntando has not been arrested and she has not been caught with any drugs in her possession. She is currently in South Africa and is not in London; in fact she has never been there," explained Sun International PR Manager Claudia Henkel.

The site is a fake replica of  www.telegraph.co.uk which is the real site.
