The body of a 19-year old student from the Midrand Graduate Institute (MGI) who went missing in mid-May has been found in an open veld in the East Rand.

The ordeal began when Ipeleng Moholane's father called John Robbie's show on Radio 702 on May 21 to report his daughter missing.

Isaac Moholane revealed that his daughter was last seen on Saturday, May 16, at 7 pm when she took a taxi at Pretoria Central.

Moholane opened a missing person's report when one of Ipeleng's friends told him that she hadn't seen her at school.

Since then, viral social network posts have been put up in a bid to try and find Ipeleng but to no success. Ipeleng's body was found in an open veld in the East Rand on Monday. Moholane called Robbie again this morning to confirm the unfortunate incident of having to identify his daughter. “They found her in a bush. That’s where they found the body of my child. I think the killer killed her on the morning of yesterday, or before yesterday.”

The devastated father also revealed that Ipeleng's phone kept ringing throughout her disappearance to no answer.

Moholane revealed to Robbie that he thinks the police delayed investigation which may have potentially saved his daughter's life.

Ipeleng lived at President Park in Midrand before she went missing.

Take a listen to the Isaac Moholane and Robbie speak about what transpired this morning.
