The culpable homicide trial of soccer player Bryce Moon was postponed by the Randburg Magistrate's Court in Johannesburg on Monday.

The case would resume on Tuesday, magistrate Vincent Pienaar said.

The State was unable to call the two witnesses it had lined up for Monday, prosecutor Rodger Mareume said. He did not explain why.

The State handed the court forensic reports.

Moon's parents, Patrick and Geraldine Moon, were at his side on Monday.

He is accused of hitting 25-year-old domestic worker Mavis Ncube with his Mercedes-Benz coupe in Sandhurst, Johannesburg, on June 30, 2009. She died of her injuries in hospital.
