Former Bafana Bafana coach Pitso Mosimane is "seeking to meet" with the SA Football Association (Safa) to find an amicable solution following his dismissal, his lawyer said on Thursday.

"The labour process was started with Safa on Monday and accordingly Mr Msimane is seeking to meet with Safa in an attempt to resolve the issues," said Rod Harper, of Cowan Harper Attorneys, in a statement.

Harper said he could confirm that Mosimane was "exercising his right to fair labour practices in terms of the Constitution and the Labour Relations Act".

"It is our client's wish that the issue be resolved as amicably and speedily as possible in the best interests of football. Until that time he will not be in a position to comment directly on any of the issues being highlighted," said Harper.
