She's back and making headlines again, but for all the right reasons this time.

Mshoza has just released a single after an incredible 11 year break.

"I feel blessed," she says when asked how it feels to make a comeback after such a long time. "I think God takes you through a lot so that He can prepare you. He was certainly preparing me."

The track, Abantu Bam (my people), was inspired by an encounter Mshoza had with an old woman, who has been a big fan of hers for years, in April.

"I went shopping and this old woman stopped me in the mall," she recalls.

"She told me regardless of the things said about me, she still loves me. She encouraged me to go back to the studio because people still love me."

After taking a day to process it, Mshoza called her producer and hit the recording studio.

"I recorded it on a Wednesday and it was playing on the radio that Friday," she says.

So how are listeners and fans receiving the new track?

"They're loving it," the singer gushes. "I really am grateful."

Following the release of Abantu Bam, Mshoza is planning to release an album at the end of September, which will be under her own company, Fresh Money Family Productions.

"I even surprised myself -  I have a lot of help but I am glad I am doing this all on my own" she says.
